Carlin is not only the front man of the group, but he is also the brainchild behind the hugely successful rock band.

City Buzz fired a few questions in his direction just to get to know him a bit better.

1. If I gave you an elephant, where would you hide it?

On my Dad’s farm in the Timbavati. Getting it there would be the problem.

2. If you were to have lunch with another SA celebrity, dead or alive, who would it be?

Trevor Noah. I love his comedy work and I think it’s awesome how well he is doing worldwide.

3. Your favourite spot for dinner?

So many to choose from. I love 95 Keerom and the partner restaurant Carné (in Cape Town). El Burro is also amazing.

4. If you were a superhero, what super power would you want to have?

I’d want to fly. That would be awesome.

5. What song would you choose to be the theme song of this part of your life?

Fancy by Iggy Azalea.

6. Why do you think yawning is so contagious?

I think everyone’s basically just always tired. If you sleep too much you yawn and if you sleep to little you yawn. I mean, who gets the perfect amount of sleep?

7. Do you define yourself mainly on your intentions, your actions, or something else?

I define myself by my creations.

8. Boxers or briefs?

Definitely not the loose boxer shorts, especially with skinny jeans. You need something tighter…

9. What long-lost childhood possession of your would you like to see again?

My He-Man toys. I had so many and I’d love to see them again.

10. What do you most regret and wish you could re-do?

I regret all the terrible hairstyles I had growing up. I grew my hair really long once and when I finally cut it everyone was so happy. They didn’t tell me this while I had the long hair though – they let me look like a fool for a year!
