6 things you didn’t know about Mojak Lehoko
JOBURG - Comedian, writer and actor Mojak Lehoko is a triple threat in the entertainment industry.
The comedy-entertainment industry may have missed out on a huge star if Mojak Lehoko had pursued his dreams of being a music producer or soccer star, but luckily for us, a video of Ricky Gervais steered this funny man into the direction of entertainment.
City Buzz caught up with the comedian, who was working on some new material and a late registration application, for some Q&A.
Where would you hide a dead body?
A. Why would you hide a body? That’s so sloppy. In 2015? Have you not watched CSI? I wouldn’t hide a dead body. I’d dispose of it biologically. You have to cremate the person and when you have the ashes, then you put that in acid and then you put that in a bio-hazardous container and then put it where no one looks.
What item are you most proud of in your bedroom?
A. My bookshelf. I love literature.
What are you reading right now?
A. The Origins of Political Order by Francis Fukuyama, Thinking, Fast and Slow by Daniel Kahneman and The Dark Side of Light Chasers by Debbie Ford.
What has been your favourite gig so far?
A. There’s so many. Some of my favourites have been at Kitchener’s or when a bunch of us came through and we just ‘crushed’. Some of my favourite gigs have been the ones that didn’t go so great. There was something great about having that experience – of just bombing – and then realising that you can carry on and it’s not the end of the world. Realising that I can take risks on stage.

A. Stand-up.
If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
A. Notorious B.I.G – Sky’s The Limit.
