GALLERY: New York-style underground bar coming to an end
JOBURG – Just a couple of weeks left to get your invitation to the Glenfiddich Independent Bar.
The Glenfiddich Independent Bar in Johannesburg has taken the city by storm, but not for much longer.
DJs Kenzhero and Glen Lewis have taken to the decks at the venue, comedians Skhumba and Trevor Gumbi have visited too, as well as prominent presenters and television personalities, Thando Thabethe and Chris Jaftha – so what are you waiting for?

SHEER JOY: Comedian Skhumba enjoys his time at the underground bar.
Brand ambassador, Quintin Denyssen talked about the bar, which will soon be closing.

FUNNY GUY: Comedian Trevor Gumbi enjoys being front and centre at the Independent Bar in Braamfontein.
“The 30th of June will be the final day here. It’s a pop-up space, it’s once-in-a-lifetime – it’s not going to happen anywhere else and it’s not travelling. It might be replicated in other countries, but it won’t be the same experience, so the people who are coming through here are really being treated,” said Denyssen.
Check out the gallery of faces that have been spotted at the bar.

LIVE MUSIC: Pilani Bubu, a local musician, entertains guests at the Independent Bar in Braamfontein.

LADIES’ NIGHT: Guests at the Independent Bar enjoy the vibe, food, drinks and the music.

ON THE DECKS: DJ Kenzhero turns the underground pop-up into the best place to dance.
