The cold front may still be with us, but for those brave enough to venture outside the weekend there is a glorious array of events happening that everyone will be able to enjoy.

Mediatech Africa – 19 to 21 July
If you are considering getting into or are already a part of the television and radio, film and video production or digital media industries then you need to get down to the Ticketpro Dome today to catch the last day of this awesome event. The event is about innovation and bringing ideas to life using the latest technology.

Kahn and Karen – 21 to 22 July
Parlotones and Karen Zoid fans need to make sure that they don’t miss the opportunity to see Khan and Karen performing together on one stage.
After working together on the Voice SA, this duo has joined up for a collaboration tour. You can catch them tonight and tomorrow night at the Teatro at Montecasino.

Puss in Boots – Until 23 July
This is the last weekend to catch the KicksArt Theatre’s production of Puss in Boots, the first pantomime ever to be staged at The Lyric. From the producer of Shrek the Musical and 12 sold-out award winning pantomimes, Puss in Boots is written and directed by Steven Stead and designed by Greg King.

Venue: The Lyric Theatre, Gold Reef City Casino, Northern Parkway, Ormonde

Hockey World Leauge – Until 23 July
If field hockey is your thing, then you need to get down to the Wits hockey astro to catch the World League Hockey Semi-Finals. It is on until 23 July.
This event sees the top teams from all over the world competing for world ranking points and a spot in the 2018 Hockey World Cup. The event aims to revolutionise hockey in South Africa and the way spectators experience sporting events in the country. Retail goods and merchandise will be on sale as well as a wide variety of artisanal food, snacks and beverages in a dedicated food comfort zone.

Winter NAG LAN – 21 to 23 July
LAN events are a gamer’s idea of heaven, and now the rAge team, who have been delivering South Africa’s biggest LAN for 15 years – are hosting the first ever Winter NAG LAN at Rush this July. Running over the last weekend of July school holidays, the NAG LAN is the ideal way to spend some quality time with online mates before the reality of ‘all work and no play’ sets in once again.
