Killarney Country Club to celebrate wine

KILLARNEY – Wine Menu's Unlock the Unusuals Festival is back with a bang and will, this year, feature some of South Africa's most exceptional, lesser known wine varietals.

The popular Unlock the Unusuals Wine Festival, organised by Wine Menu at the Blu Bird Shopping Centre, is back to showcase South Africa’s lesser known wine varietals.

A wine tasting session will take place at Killarney Country Club on 7 September at 6pm where visitors can try out some of the finest Tempranillo, Semillon, Cinsaut, Grenache, Carignan and Tinta Barocca wines.

Ticket prices include unlimited tasting and light snacks.

Participation in the festival by wine producers is by invitation only, with organisers aiming to ensure that wines of the highest quality are showcased at the festival.

According to organisers, international wines will also be on show.

Corlien Morris from Wine Menu said, “Consumers are diverse and enjoy exploring a wide scope of tastes. Consumers are choosing more unusual grape varietals than ever before in order to broaden their wine experience.

“They are looking for something different in the marketplace and we have some fabulous products at this year’s festival.”

Wines are on sale at the festival prices.
