Food, fun and entertainment on Spring Day at the Killarney Country Club

KILLARNEY – A variety of market stalls popped-up at the Killarney Country Club which welcomed community members to buy locally made products.

The beginning of spring opened with an activity-filled day for the community at the Killarney Country Club.

Mmabatho Mtimkulu, a representative of Homegrown Consulting Event and Marketing Company said they hosted a market with various vendors selling locally made and produced goods.

“It is a family day where people can bring their kids or partners while having a good time and some organic foods,” said Mtimkulu. “There is also an art stand where people can purchase something for their homes.”

Mtimkulu’s partner, Paballo Malebo added that this was their first event and they wanted it to grow.

“The plan is to have it once a month and as it grows, have it more regularly like every weekend,” said Malebo.

“We just want people within the community to know that this is a place they can come to for relaxation with their families.”

Among the exhibitors were Naomi Sekgobela and Kagiso Tsholo of Curly Twins who were selling their homemade hair products which they make using natural ingredients.
