WATCH: Bacardi House Party Sessions highlights

Hosted at Arts on Main in Maboneng and inspired by the gritty back streets of Havana, The Bacardi House Party Sessions saw Joburg’s eclectic music fans come out to the party with Da L.E.S and Flame alongside some of South Africa’s talented upcoming artists.

The first of more parties scheduled later this year, the Bacardi House Party Sessions give artists a chance to showcase their talent alongside some of the biggest names in the industry while throwing the ultimate house party. Da L.E.S, a household name on the hip-hop scene, used his star power and platform to help shine a light on rising star Flame’s music and take it to even greater heights.

“It was actually dope, I saw everybody come together and have fun like it’s supposed to be,” Flame said.

Keeping to Bacardi’s passion for supporting and growing local music, upcoming artists Ahooligan, DJ PinkMolly, 2Leestark and Uncle PartyTime were the supporting acts who heated up the stage before Da L.E.S and Flame set the party alight with their respective individual performances as well as their performance of their new hit single Celebration. The music video of the track, created in collaboration with Bacardi House Party Sessions was released the day before the party.

“Flame has been doing a really good job and I think it’s his time to shine,” Da L.E.S said.

Celebration is a song that encapsulates the ultimate summer house party spirit – good friends, good food, good vibes and even better music. The music video was shot at a mansion on the outskirts of Johannesburg and the video celebrated what one can expect from a summer party banger and keeping true to Bacardi’s love of self-expression for #DoWhatMovesYou.

“It’s always nice to come out here, the vibe is really nice and the energy is good. Everybody is here to have a good time, that’s what I’m all about,” Da L.E.S said.

The duo said they have been cooking up some heat in the kitchen and a project was lined-up and will be released soon.

“My project with L.E.S is going to happen by the end of the year,” Flame said.
