Multi-award-winning African Pop Singer, Tresor hosts exclusive listening session

MABONENG – Riziki takes us back to the future with his new album Nostalgia and releases visuals for an electric night.

With African pride at the centre of his 3rd studio album Nostalgia, multi-award-winning African pop singer-songwriter and producer, Mukengerwa ‘Tresor’ Riziki recently hosted an exclusive listening session at Maboneng Precinct.

Present at the listening and viewing session were Riziki’s close friends and media who got a feel for the album which features artists from across the African continent.

“Finally, you can experience Nostalgia as it has been in the making for a long time now and it’s great to see some of the responses to the music I’ve put out that is featured on the album. Nostalgia is an album that captures the essence from reminiscing,” said Riziki who shared his excitement.

“It celebrates love and life, in a nostalgic way and I wanted to make sure it had a very strong and dominate Afro sound throughout the album. I featured some of the best artists from South Africa, DRC and Kenya. The collaborations on this album truly show off what growing up as an African child looked like – this is heard through the artistry and the different languages in Nostalgia.”

The album takes the listener through a nostalgic musical journey of Riziki growing up. The 13-track album features some big names such as multi-award-winning trio The Soil, Kenyan pop group Sauti Sol, contemporary singer Msaki, kwaito rapper Kwesta, DRC singer Lokua Kanza, Afro pop group Mafikizolo, pop trio Beatenberg and Super Mega AKA – who now joins Riziki in the futuristic and thrilling video for Electric Night.

The DRC born singer-songwriter is signed to Universal Music Publishing Group and currently based in South Africa.

“I am extremely proud to present this work of remembrance captured in the album and I’m excited to have been privileged to work with all the artists. We were able to create our own reminiscent souvenirs whilst making this album. I hope Nostalgia helps my fans and listeners celebrate and is the soundtrack to new beginnings, love, laughter, joy, memories and more,” the singer-songwriter expressed.

The album Nostalgia is now available on all music platforms.
