Two special tributes for Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber
SANDTON - The Gauteng Opera will host two dinner concerts at Laughing Chefs Restaurant on 19 September and The Oak Leaf on 26 September.
The evenings will treat guests to an incredible dining experience coupled with the soothing sounds of musical tributes to theatre legend Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, performed by the Gauteng Opera’s very own Forté.
From to Evita to Jesus Christ Superstar, Forté, consisting of Khumbuzile Dhlamini (soprano), Annemarie Steenkamp (mezzo-soprano), Phenye Modiane (tenor), Kagiso Boroko (tenor) and accompanied by acclaimed pianist Paul Ferreira, will create their own arrangements of beautiful standards from Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber’s outstanding oevre.
These concerts pay tribute to and celebrate beautiful music while the patrons enjoy a three-course dinner. Each restaurant will present their own menu in honour of Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber.
The income generated from the dinner concerts will support the development Gauteng Opera offers to their artists.
