A year of laughter and happiness for Crawford International Prep-Primary

Crawford International Sandton’s Prep-Primary School principal Lucinda Pinto reflects on a year of love and community.

Crawford International Sandton’s Prep-Primary School principal Lucinda Pinto shares a message of thanks as the school reflects on another year.

According to Pinto, it was quite an exciting year with many highlights for the school and all of its learners.

“A highlight has been the introduction of the International Baccalaureate, Primary Years Programme. This has elevated our curriculum and has provided us with the opportunity to allow our children to learn through play using an inquiry-based approach.

“Our children are beginning to speak the language of children who are being prepared to make a difference in both a local and global context.”

Pinto added that it was also wonderful to have the parents back on campus and participating in various events.

Pre-Primary learners Rosalia Rigwema, KairaJacobs, Skyla Tozer and Haihm Kim had fun at school this year.

“Our Mini-Olympics, Bedtime Tales, Celebrations of Learning, Concerts and Special Persons Days were all attended enthusiastically.

“Our school diversity has been celebrated and both local and international communities are interacting and sharing their uniqueness and own ‘flavour’.”

Pinto said, while 2021 was filled with a lot of sadness and anxieties in schools, this year was filled with laughter, giggles and just happy “little people” who feel loved and secure.

“Queen Sparkles (which I am fondly called) has a very full heart. Thank you to an incredible staff for all their hard work and dedication. Our Pre-Primary is the success that it is because of you.

“Wishing the Sandton community, a wonderful festive and holiday season.”
