Brescia House School girls spent a morning showing their appreciation to the community for Catholic Schools Week.
The Grade 8 learners brought in freshly baked cupcakes and biscuits to school on 19 May to create thank-you packs for the school support staff and teamed up with Pick n Pay Epsom Downs to hand out freshly baked Chelsea buns to passers-by.
Pick n Pay matched the girls’ purchase of 250 Chelsea buns, and Pick n Pay donated a further 250 buns.
“The learners were out bright and early on the fresh, sunny morning, ready to greet pedestrians and the support staff and offer them a delicious, warm treat,” said the school’s head of marketing and admissions Helga Bishop.

“The ladies and gentlemen, who work tirelessly to keep the school environment clean and sanitised, were delighted to be able to arrive home to their families bearing delicious goods. It was a wonderful morning seeing the community come together and serving each other,” Wright concluded.
