What happens after you apply to register in the 2021 Municipal Elections?

JOBURG – After seven days, members of the community can check their voter registration status on the IEC website.

Have you recently registered to vote in this year’s local elections? Or will you be registering on September 18 and 19 (this weekend)?

According to the Electoral Commission of South Africa, it will take about seven days for your application to be processed and your registration to reflect on their system.

After seven days, members of the community can check their voter registration status on the IEC website on www.elections.org.za to find out if they are registered. If after the seven-day period has surpassed, and your registration still does not reflect on the system, residents are encouraged to contact their IEC.

Please email your ID number and contact information to webmaster@elections.org.za
