As people from all over the world are preparing plans and gifts for their mothers on Mother's Day, some are faced with the challenge of not having enough funds. Here are some helpful ways of celebrating your mother on her special day without worrying too much about money
Everyone wants to treat their mother like the queen that they are on their special day, Mother’s Day. There are unplanned phases and moments in one’s life where the finances are not correlating with the big idea of showcasing affection. Not to worry, this is where one has to tap into their creative state of mind and do some research.
People have their own ways of celebrating Mother’s Day with the common factor of spending money. Even with little, you can make a huge difference what matters is the making the person feel special. Here are some stuff to do to for your mother when the finances are temporarily against you:
- Plan and prepare a home cooked meal menu with your mother’s favourites. The quickest way into anyone’s heart is through food.
- If your mother is into gardening, assist her with the garden
- Present a gift basket of treats: beauty products and turn the living room into a spa resort for your mother
- Take your mother out for a walk at the nearest botanical garden or nature reserve
- Create a memory journal with visuals
- Spend the whole day with her and ask what she would love to do
- Organise indoor family activities: for example, during the day binge watch some nostalgic movies/shows and end the programme with games night
- Write a letter detailing how much she means to you
