Father’s Day in the fast lane in Hyde Park

Classic, super and Formula 1 car enthusiasts recently enjoyed a unique Father's Day experience in Hyde Park.

Classic, super, and Formula 1 car enthusiasts flocked to Hyde Park Corner for Father’s Day on June 19 to get their dose of life in the fast lane.

The experience allowed attendees to enjoy two classic Ferrari cars all while trying their hand at the Formula 1 simulator on Ferrari’s famous home track in Monza, Italy.

According to organiser and Zebra Square Gallery owner Klaus Grögor, the aim was to bring a unique experience to the community with the goal of making it a memorable Father’s Day.

“When I was approached to host an installation at the centre, I wanted it to be more than a static experience. I wanted members of the community to have an interactive experience and what better way to do that than with a Formula 1 experience.”

The simulation in particular was a hit across the board, attracting many racing enthusiasts.

“It was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, tricky at first but a great fun experience,” said Johann van Heerden who tried his hand at the simulation.
