A new world of possibilities with TikTok

Content creators from all over South Africa join in on the discussion with TikTok representatives on business ventures at Kramerville.

It’s no surprise that social media platform TikTok has been the number one tool of influence with its fun-filled short videos that leaves the majority of their viewers in tears from laughter. Representatives from the TikTok South Africa organisation welcomed a full house of content creators to their first-ever TikTok for Business event.

The event took place in Kramerville on September 14 and opened up the possibilities for influencers in South Africa to further capitalise on the business side of the application. Upon arrival, guests were given the treats and drinks before a discussion curated by the TikTok team commenced.

Head of Turkey, Africa & Gaming, Global Business Solutions of TikTok Scott Thwaites welcomed guests before diving in on the main reason for the TikTok union. According to Thwaites, brands from all over the world have seen significant growth after having their products or services featured in viral trendy videos.

“The magic of TikTok is not just the chance to create, but the chance to discover and to be found. With TikTok for Business, our goal is to give marketers the tools to be discovered and connect with the broader communities around them,” said Thwaites.

“Brands are an important part of the TikTok experience, whether they are starting trends or connecting communities, they are creating authentic audiences built on the foundation of sharing joy.

One of the participants of the event shared their highlights of attending the event with pure joy and excitement which could not be contained. Wandile Langeni said, “I am here with my friend to find out more about how we as creators can generate more funds through our content. As a radio presenter, I do think that this will be promising for everyone including the various brands that are keen on the development of the campaign,” said .

An abundance of fun gaming competitions will be offered to fans of all ages at the 2022 Comic Con.

After representatives from the organisation shared their vision on enlarging the business venture that will benefit both brands and content creators guests enjoyed the rest of their evening on the dance floor.
