Notice: Sandton and surrounds set for an 11-day water disruption

The water disruption will take place from 3 to 15 October resulting in low water pressure to no water.

Johannesburg Water has released a statement that outlines a planned project that will result in water disruptions for 11 days. The water disruptions in various suburbs are to conduct a dummy run in preparation for the cleaning of Illovo reservoirs 2 and 8.

Water disruption details: 

  • Date: From October 3 at 08:00 till 15 October at 15:00
  • Suburbs affected: Sandhurst, Sandton City, Benmore Gardens, Atholl Gardens, Strathavon, Sandown, Morningside, Hurlingham, Inanda and New Brighton.
  • Impact: Low water pressure/ no water

 

Residents are encouraged to visit Joburg Water’s website, www.johannesburgwater.co.za and select the SMS notification services for alerts on planned and unplanned services. More information can be obtained on Twitter @JHBWater and Facebook: Johannesburg Water.
