Sandton Central continues to make strides

District improvement manager Elaine Jack reflects on a busy but rewarding year for the Sandton Central Management District.

It’s been a busy but rewarding year for the Sandton Central Management District, which included a change in the management structure.

This was according to district improvement manager Elaine Jack, in her year-end reflection.

“As South Africa and the world adapt to hybrid workplace models, companies in the precinct continue to operate between 40% and 70% occupancy.

“In a race for top talent, there is a necessary drive to create vibrant, creative and fulfilling work environments – this redefinition of work/life balance is best articulated in the recently launched #WFHSandton campaign.”

“We successfully acquired approval and funding from the province to redesign the M1 and Grayston Drive interchange to improve efficiency and remove the conflict turns on the interchange.

District improvement manager Elaine Jack reflects on a successful year.

“In addition, construction of the last [Rea Vaya] station in Sandton on Rivonia Road, between Fifth Street and Pybus Road, is now under way by the City of Johannesburg to be completed in 2024.”

Jack concluded that the district looks forward to building on the many successes of 2022.
