Nominations for the 2026 Woman of Stature Awards now open

The wait is finally over, as one of South Africa’s most powerful platforms for recognising women in leadership, business, and community impact opens for nominations.

The Woman of Stature (WOS) Awards has officially opened nominations for its highly anticipated 2026 season, following a dazzling media launch at Hotel Sky in Sandton on August 15.

Celebrating its 11th year, the WOS Awards enters a bold new chapter, launching a fresh regional format and introducing four new industry categories in what organisers are calling the most inclusive and impactful season yet.

The 2026 season marks the first time the awards will adopt a regional nomination and selection process, beginning in Cape Town and expanding to other provinces.

Regional winners will go on to compete at the national level, ensuring broader representation across South Africa.

WOS founder and CEO Charlotte du Plessis said: “The energy and support we felt at the Johannesburg launch have set the stage for a groundbreaking 2026 season. We’re opening doors wider than ever before.”
With this new structure, organisers are anticipating over 800 nominations, a significant jump from last season’s 700+, showcasing the growing demand for platforms that recognise exceptional female leaders and entrepreneurs.

The WOS Awards seek women of exceptional calibre, leaders, innovators, and change-makers whose impact is felt, not only in their industries, but also in their communities.

  • Woman in MICE, Tourism, & Hospitality
  • Woman in Property
  • Woman in Technology
