Nelson Mandela Square transforms into a boutique Christmas wonderland

Sip, shop, and savour the festive season at Celebrations on the Square, an exclusive, elegant holiday experience in the heart of Sandton.

Nelson Mandela Square is inviting visitors to embrace the festive season in style with Celebrations on the Square, a luxurious boutique Christmas experience running from December 12 to 22, between 16:00 and 21:00.

For an entry fee of R75, guests will receive a glass of Laurent-Perrier champagne and a decadent charcuterie board, while enjoying a carefully curated environment designed for seasonal indulgence.

The event is limited to 200 visitors per day, ensuring an intimate, leisurely experience.

The festivities unfold inside a custom glass marquee, adorned with luxury nutcracker displays, a statement ceiling installation, and elegant décor. Comfortable lounges and cocktail tables create inviting spaces to relax, while live violin performances from 18:00 to 20:00 add a melodic backdrop to the celebrations.

Visitors can browse an array of boutique vendors offering artisanal gifts and festive treats. Babylonstoren brings farm produce, curated hampers, and lifestyle goods, while Veldmeisie, Oooh La La, Casa LV, Le Perline, Storm Ceramics, and Chapters Home Fragrance showcase floral arrangements, handcrafted confectionery, bespoke décor, ceramics, and candles.

Food lovers can delight in Lemoni Food Studio’s festive favourites, Panettone, Matcha Pod tea, artisanal gelato from Gelato Mania, and speciality coffee by Kaldista Coffee Company.

A curated selection of cookbooks by Naqiyah Mayat and Angie Durrant simplifies gifting for foodies, while Laurent-Perrier’s champagne lounge offers tastings, purchases, and personalisable luggage tags. Grandiflora Christmas décor and Wrap It’s boutique packaging complete the seasonal offerings.
