French culture celebrated
WOODMEAD - France's Bastille Day was celebrated with a Midnight in Paris evening at the Johannesburg Country Club in Woodmead.

Sponsored by fuel retailer Total South Africa and various French companies, the evening’s celebrations were designed to be a real treat for the 750 guests in attendance, with its special French flair and ambiance.
Caricaturists roamed the floor, and there was delicious French food, wine and champagne, as well as live music.
The occasion also provided an important networking opportunity and benefited two welfare organisations, The French Welfare Society and Children of Dawn.
The French national anthem was sung and the French consul and ambassador welcomed guests during the formal proceedings.
“As a company with a proud French heritage and a strong mixture of French and South African ownership, we at Total South Africa were honoured to be closely associated with the sponsorship of this year’s Bastille Day celebrations,” said Nadia Vosloo, Total South Africa brand and communications manager.
