Women drugging and stealing from men

SANDTON - The Sandton police have extended a warning to men in Sandton about women who apparently drug their victims and take their possessions while they're unconscious.

Sandton police spokesperson Captain Kym Cloete said, “This is a developing tendency we’d like to make the public aware of before it becomes problematic.”

Cloete explained that the victims had met these women at social venues, but not necessarily nightclubs. Afterwards, they would leave the venue and go to a 24-hour petrol station shop where they would purchase cups of coffee. The men then pass out and when they wake up they find that their property, including wallets, watches, even their cars, have disappeared.

She said the exact modus operandi wasn’t yet clear. The victims reported feeling dizzy when they awoke, but they couldn’t be sure of exactly when they had lost consciousness, she said.
