Waldorf pupils in fatal car accident

Two other pupils not connected to the school were also in the vehicle.

“There were two fatalities and our hearts go out to John Perets’ and Diego Sheldon Beukes’ families. The other Michael Mount pupils are in hospital. They are Zen Kieser, Samantha Collett, Joelle Lismont, Geoffrey de Sousa and Kamal Mamdoo. The eighth pupil was not known to us but has been discharged from hospital.

“We are a tight-knit community at Michael Mount. We are deeply saddened and shocked by this news,” said William Bester for the College of Teachers.

In the following days, counsellors will be on hand to assist students, teachers and families at this very difficult time.
