Miss Face of SA Teen has head for career highs

Katlego Ncala, 13, of The Cinderella Scholarship Programme has earned the title of Miss Face of South Africa Teen.

The responsibilities of her title focus on uplifting the community with charity work.

Ncala said, “I really enjoy making a difference in people’s lives and it is amazing to work with children.”

With an enthusiasm for responsibility, Ncala entered the pageant to represent South Africa and to follow through with various disciplines the programme offers. The programme values education for young women and introduces each girl to a career path.

“If you do not know anything about education, it is not worth entering the pageant,” said Ncala.

She attended her first international pageant held in Las Vegas this year.

“It was an amazing journey and I learnt so much,” said Ncala.

Coming home with 11 medals, an overall winner in the modelling championship and crowned first princess in the Cameo girls competition, she said the judges were impressed by her commitment.

“It is a wonderful opportunity because the focus is not just on beauty, but also brains and making sure that we educate ourselves as future leaders of South Africa,” said Ncala
