SANDTON - The Domestic Watch Forum will host a series of informative lessons in the Sandton area in May.

Founded and led by Penny Steyn, the Domestic Watch Forum is an opportunity for domestic workers in various suburbs to learn integral techniques to protect themselves and their employer’s home from criminals through pre-emptive measures.

The meetings in May will cover the topic of ‘Taking Care – Home and Telephone’ which will touch on the significant contact numbers attendees should remember when an emergency occurs.

Founder of the forum Penny Steyn said, “When they are equipped with knowing exactly what to do, who to call in any crime potential or actual crime situation we can avert the worst possible outcomes. So for some this will be reinforcing reminders and changes in contact numbers, adding to their contact lists of who can help and giving them directions and option to do something.

Steyn added, “For the loads of new folk who have started attending, this year it will be an absolutely essential lesson.”
