Marlboro Licensing Centre to be closed until August

SANDTON – The current improvement process at the Marlboro Licensing Centre aims to make the centre more efficient and user-friendly by 6 August.

The Marlboro Licensing Centre, also known as the Sandton Licensing Centre, will be closed from 11 June to 6 August for some much-needed refurbishment.

The purpose of the extensive renovations is to provide better services and customer experiences at the licensing centre.

Superintendent Wayne Minnaar of the Johannesburg Metro Police Department said, “Driving license renewals, licence discs, learners, and driving tests can be done at Langlaagte, Roodepoort, Randburg and Midrand licensing centres”.

Ward 109 councillor Werner Smit said, “The City wants to modernise the facility to make it more user-friendly, facilitate greater volumes of people and introduce a better and fairer ticketed queuing system”.

He said all of these improvements will make this centre more efficient and more user-friendly.
