Jobe comes to Auto & General Theatre on the Square

SANDTON – Make sure to catch the new play, Jobe, at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square from 29 May.

A fascinating, entertaining and performance-centered play, based on the original biblical story of Job, is set to open at the Auto & General Theatre on the Square from 29 May.

The play, Jobe, was first presented by the Joburg Theatre and was nominated for Best South African Script. The production is adapted by Teboho Sengoai and directed by Josias Dos Moleele.

Jobe tells the story of a man who goes through adversity and pain and longs for an explanation and counsel as to why his world has been turned upside down. According to the biblical tale, this counsel is revealed in a dramatic life-changing dream and vision that shakes his beliefs to the core as well as those of his wife and friends.
