Get active with Redhill for a good cause

SANDTON – The virtual event will take place between 23 and 27 September.

Redhill School encourages the community to get active all while contributing to those in need.

Together with the Redhill Parents’ Association, the school has partnered with Fedgroup and Legacy Lifestyle to host this year’s virtual ride, run or walk.

The virtual event will take place between 23 and 27 September.

“Social distancing regulations mean we cannot all go riding, running, or walking on the same route but thanks to our smartphones and watches, we can still have fun and make a difference,” said Redhill marketing and communications manager Shelli Nurcombe-Thorne.

The virtual event will form part of the Redhill Cares initiative, to enter participants are required to make a donation to the non-profit Botshabelo Children’s Home which looks after the well-being of children.

“This year’s event is not restricted by geographic boundaries, time barriers or busy social calendars. So, let’s share, retweet and coax our friends into getting involved to help make a real impact and reach this year’s target of 3000 participants and R30 000 raised,” she added.

Entrants also stand a chance to win some amazing prizes sponsored by Fedgroup, Legacy Lifestyle and Morningside Shopping Centre.

“Once you have donated, all you need to do is select the distance, put on your cleats or takkies and get moving,” said Nurcombe-Thorne.
