NPO plans its first Face-to Face fundraising to increase donations
WOODMEAD – "The first SOS Children’s Villages Face-to-Face fundraising will start the campaign across various parts in Gauteng and then further expand to other provinces as time progresses."
The SOS Children’s Villages in South Africa have recently launched its in-house Face-to-Face fundraising team. The Non-profit organisation (NPO) aims to recruit new donors through a team of canvassers.
A lot of the NPO’s are currently facing challenges and setbacks which cannot be controlled due to the current state that the world is in. Ever since the presence of the pandemic, many sponsors have either been delaying their donations or completely stopped donating funds to NPO’s.
SOS Children’s Villages in South Africa have previously been outsourcing from agencies which have been in operation for more than five years to assist them with the fundraising.
The first SOS Children’s Villages Face-to-Face fundraising will start the campaign across various parts in Gauteng and then further expand to other provinces as time progresses. Teams will be formed based on selected sides and shopping centres. Each team will have five members to communicate and engage with the public. This initiative hopes to raise funds to support the children under the care of SOS Children’s Villages.
