Forest Farm reflects and thanks community for support

BRYANSTON – Despite a stressful year, Forest Farm successfully used all its support, skills and resources to provide for the residents.

Like many non-profit organisations (NPO) in the country, Forest Farm Centre had to readjust during the course of the year due to the consequences of the pandemic.

Despite experiencing a stressful year, Forest Farm successfully used all its support, skills and resources to the best of its abilities in order to achieve its goal of providing for residents. The organisation not only focused on safety but also on the emotional and mental stability of residents, followed by its staff members.

The course of the lockdown encouraged the organisation’s members to stay on their creative toes as they found ways of keeping residents entertained and active. A few highlights that the organisation shared was the collaboration with Carolyn Steyn, founder of 67 Blankets for Nelson Mandela and having Peter Lombard as a new fundraiser who hopes to assist the organisation with stability.

β€œThe key focus for our directors is to ensure that funds are found to ensure that we can finance all our operational costs while providing a world-class service to our residents. It is an unenviable task, and the committee has decided to bolster their efforts through some structural changes to be implemented in 2021/2022. We hope that these additional sources will be able to provide them with the necessary tools to realise our dreams,” concluded Lombard.
