Tears takes on #RunningAgainstRape challenge
The Tears Foundation offers support to victims, specialising in the assistance and support network for survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
The Tears Foundation team, family and friends united at the Bryanston parkrun on April 2 to take part in the #RunningAgainstRape virtual challenge.
The challenge was created by the Jes Foord Foundation to help raise awareness and funds for Tears.
Since 2013, Tears has delivered 3 000 hours of free trauma counselling sessions to survivors of rape and assault.

According to Tears COO Charlene Roberson, everyone was eager to get the challenge underway.
“The spirit was lively and happy, made up of runners, walkers, young, fit and not so fit [but happy to stroll] and took the challenge on with a smile on their faces.
“The aim of the Tears Foundation participating in the event was to create all-round

awareness about the alarming statistics of GBV, sexual assault and rape in South Africa.”
Similarly to the Jes Foord Foundation, Tears offers support to victims, specialising in the assistance and support network for survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
