Victor paves the way for others with passion

Ever been in a predicament where your phone is about to die and you are three turns away from reaching your destination?

Victor Siobo has been a beacon to a lot of individuals travelling in the Buccleuch area. His road marking operation has made him an overnight hero.

Siobo who currently resides in Buccleuch has been hands-on with the development of his community with numerous operations. Recently the individual dedicated his time, energy and money to marking roads with street names. Siobo stated that he was at a point in his life where he was down on his luck. Instead of waiting for an opportunity, he created one.

“I studied at George Tabor Technical College in Soweto where I got my civil engineering qualification. I am currently a road constructor and made road marking my number one priority. The reason behind that is because it is easy to maintain and I only have a few materials which I need since I work by myself at the moment,” said Siobo.

Born in Venda [Limpopo] Siobo’s main goal is to empower more individuals like himself: trying to make an impact in the world with his passion but lacking exposure.

“I want to give back to the community with the aim to create work for myself and for others. Once I complete the Buccleuch area I want to immediately focus on Marlboro, Kelvin and Alexandra which is my main target. Alexander is big and is not easy for people to manoeuvre. I am one man trying to help thousands of people find their way home,” said Siobo.

According to Siobo, members of the community have been expressing their gratitude through words of affirmation which brings him joy. Siobo kindly asks for any assistance from his community to continue his project of street marking the entire Buccleuch area.
