Local radio presenter Ayanda MVP comes full circle

Ayanda MVP was previously at the youth radio station in 2016 before making the move to Primedia Broadcasting’s 947.

Local resident Ayanda Mdluli, better known as Ayanda MVP, continues to reach new heights in the radio broadcasting industry.

The experienced household radio personality recently made her return to Hyde Park’s very own YFM where she is set to host an afternoon drive show called the Home Run.

According to Mdluli, this new show gives her a platform to continue being purposeful and intentional with her love for music both on radio and on the decks.

“I’m beyond excited to be back at Y, I’ve been working towards an opportunity like this. And the time has finally arrived for me to host [a drive show] on YFM.”

She will be hosting the Home Run alongside DJ Flax who will act as both producer and contributor.

Mdluli got her start at the University of Pretoria’s Tuks FM. Over the years, she has not only used her platform to put a smile on listeners’ faces but to also do her part for the community.

More recently, Mdluli hosted a netball challenge at the Sandton Action Sports arena which saw over R10 000 donated to the Realogile Secondary School in Alexandra.

Mdluli was previously at the youth radio station in 2016 before making the move to Primedia Broadcasting’s 947.

YFM content producer Phindi Ziqubu describe this as a ‘true full-circle moment’, confident that listeners will welcome the radio personality with open arms.

Over the last few years, she has truly honed her broadcasting skill, her personal brand has gone from strength to strength and she remains a true embodiment of youth culture.
