Koe’siestes at the theatre
Local singer Chantal Stanfield returns to the theatre with a hilarious kosher comedy.
Following the roaring success of its debut production, Chantal Stanfield returns to the Theatre On The Square.
Presented by Daphne Kuhn and Kizara Kreative, and under the direction of Megan Chortiz, the local singer returns with From Koe’siestes to Kneidlach… with Kids – a sequel to a hugely successful and unique comedy.
Showing from May 4 to 21, this hilarious kosher comedy is about a bizarre, funny and true love story.
According to the Theatre on the Square’s Daphne Kuhn, the story follows a girl from the Cape Flats who falls in love with a Jewish boy from the East Rand of Johannesburg.
“The new show picks up a few years after the ‘mixed-race-mixed-everything’ happy couple gets married and rides off into the Shabbat sunset.
“Now there’s a baby on the way with a myriad of cultural, religious and familial issues to navigate.”
Bookings can be made online via Computicket on www.computicket.com or by calling 0861 915 8000, alternatively, call the theatre on 083 377 4969/011 883 8606.
