Transition Football in the big leagues

Local football club Transition Football becomes the first club in Africa to partner with renowned European football legends Celtic FC.

Bryanton’s very own Transition Football Club has taken major steps to improve its structure and get the local club on the map.

One of these steps comes in the form of a partnership with renowned Scottish football club Celtic FC as a Celtic Soccer Academy Partner Club.

The programme will help facilitate the exchange of coaches and players between Transition Football and the Champions League team.
This means that young players and aspiring coaches will have the opportunity to interact firsthand with one of Europe’s biggest football teams.

According to the Transition Football managing director Claudio Lorenzani, the benefits to its players will be endless as it prepares to welcome a number of Celtic’s coaches to see its structure and players.

“When starting the club, my biggest goal was to be different and give players opportunity, focus on the development of the player as opposed to just wanting to win.”

The club already has seven of its players lined up to head to Scotland and England for two weeks in August to visit the club and showcase their talents.

“By being the first African partner of Celtic FC we have no doubt [that] our platform to showcase our players will grow even further as well as producing a quality player that would fit into the top of leagues of Europe,” said Lorenzani.
