Following these phenomenal results, the young athlete qualified for the South African Modern Pentathlon Association team for the World Championship at the end of October in Madeira, Portugal.

“It felt so good [to qualify] as Covid-19 had prevented me from going in 2020 when I last qualified. And I felt all my hard work and training had paid off,” said Isla.

She will be part of the U15 triathle team and a first reserve for the U15 biathle team.

Isla began her journey in biathle at the age of six and triathle at the age of nine.
