Local non-profit organisation Forest Farm Centre reflects on 2022
Bulelwa Mahura from the Forest Farm Centre in Parkmore expresses her gratitude toward partners that assisted the organisation this year.
After facing one of its toughest years in 2021 due to the presence of the pandemic, Forest Farm Centre took full took advantage of organising numerous events for its residents this year.
Through their mission of reviving the Parkmore-based centre, key representatives of the organisation successfully achieved their mission from the beginning of the year. Bulelwa Mahura, who has been working with the organisation for numerous years, mentioned their highlights in the form of the centre’s events that they hosted this year.
With Valentine’s Day, the Easter egg hunt and the most recent family braai, residents have been in high spirits.
“One of the reasons people with disabilities exist is to keep us in touch with a place of deep compassion and gratitude within our hearts. If you need the inspiration to count your blessings sincerely, come visit our centre and spend time with some of the most special people on earth,” said Mahura.
She gave thanks to the volunteers from Mosaïek Church and Lions of Northcliff.
