The couple fled their Hyde Park mansion and went on the run after it was brought to light by GroundUp that Bester escaped prison on May 03 2022. Initially, it was believed that Bester had died in his cell at Kgosi Mampuru Central Maximum correctional facility but this was not the case.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Justice and Correctional Services, Magudumana is under arrest and is awaiting her first court appearance at the Bloemfontein Magistrates Court on April 13.
