Readers to cultivate self-awareness using new book

The book delves into the complexities of modern relationships, focusing on themes like communication, trust, balancing professional and personal life, and the psychology of love.

Our very own Sandton-based author, a Forbes 30 under 30 list maker, a lawyer, and a businessman by profession who has also won SABC 1’s One Day Leader, has resurfaced with a new novel for love.

Zareef Minty started his writing journey when he was 19 and wrote a book titled Empire. He has now published a second book called The Secret to Finding Love.

He said he has always wanted to inspire and motivate an entire generation of people through his thoughts and words.

“I believe that books and volumes are endless. Books like Rich Dad, Poor Dad, and The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari are timeless, and I strongly believe if you create something that speaks to the inner needs of society, it will last forever.”

Minty said he wants his books to positively impact the lives of people forever and wrote this one with Aseema Kazi.

“The inspiration for The Secret to Finding Love stemmed from our journeys in love and relationships. As a businessman, businesswoman, and love coach, we wanted to blend our professional insights with personal experiences.”

He elaborated that their friendship, along with Aseema’s family life and his long-term relationship, provided rich, diverse perspectives on love and commitment.

Minty highlighted that their research for this book involved a mix of academic studies on relationships and psychology, interviews with couples, and personal reflections.

“The creative process was collaborative, blending my business acumen with Aseema’s coaching expertise to offer a unique perspective on finding and sustaining love in today’s world.”

He explained that one of the challenges was ensuring that their diverse experiences and viewpoints complemented each other in the book.

“Balancing professional advice with personal anecdotes required careful thought to maintain a coherent and engaging narrative.”

He emphasises that the book aims to empower readers to cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and open communication as foundations for healthy relationships.

“The best thing I can say to aspiring writers is that people go after what they want to achieve in life and if your goal is to become an author then go after that do not ever let someone else tell you that you cannot achieve something.”
