These pets are waiting for you to adopt them at the Sandton SPCA.
As the new year gets off to a rapid-pace start, Sandton community members looking to adopt a new companion will be pleased to note these available potential friends waiting in line to be adopted. The adoption process includes a home inspection to ensure that potential pet owners have a home conducive to animals.


Interested animal lovers will be expected to cover the cost of adoption fees, vaccinations, deworming and sterilisation of their new pets.

Sandton SPCA Adoption Process
There are a few things to keep in mind when looking to adopt a pet from the Sandton SCPA:
- People looking to adopt pets have to come to meet their desired pet in person.
- Persons looking to adopt are required to complete and submit a booking form, as well as pay a non-refundable deposit of R200.
- Proof of residence, ID copy and permission letter from the adopting persons’ landlord/body corporate where relevant, are also required.
- Pet owners are required to bring their existing dog(s) in for a meet and greet with the pet they want to adopt.
- A pre-adoption home inspection will be performed.
- An adoption fee of R800 will be required from a person(s) adopting upon pet collection.
- A follow-up home inspection will be performed.
