Discovery Soccer Park (DSP) in Parkmore has become a popular spot for soccer fans, with its world-class 5-a-side soccer facilities.

With three locations at Wanderers Club, Sandton Sports Club, and the Mall of Africa rooftop, DSP offers a fun, safe, and friendly place for players of all levels to enjoy the game.

Moïra Valkin, director of Discovery Soccer Park, said, “We are grateful to all our loyal supporters who make DSP a special place for everyone who loves soccer.”
She highlighted that the mission is to bring people together through the international language of football in a relaxed and healthy environment.

“This year, DSP hosted exciting events, including the UEFA Champions League Lays launch with soccer stars like Lucas Radebe and Teko Modise. We also hosted the popular 3v3 street soccer Grants Brandy Tournament, the Inter Law Firm Charity Cup, and even a secret training session for the All Blacks rugby team before their match with the Springboks.”

Valkin added that the DSP’s most loved events are the weekly casual games, childrens' coaching classes, birthday parties, and the internal corporate leagues, where companies like Deloitte and Ernst and Young compete.

“This year, Football Flava set a new goal-scoring record, winning the premier division on goal difference. The Rossoneri team, made up of former pros, joined the competition, adding more excitement to the leagues.”

She concluded by pointing out that the DSP’s Junior Spring League continues to grow, with teams from across Gauteng and even Botswana joining in.

“The year ended with a thrilling tournament on November 30, featuring 36 teams.”
