Reflecting on 2024, the Bryanston Market again stands out as a vibrant hub of community, creativity, and cultural celebration.

According to Cerys Bullock Pharoah, the managing director of the market, this year was marked by an incredible array of events that brought together the local community, families, and artisans in a true celebration of craftsmanship, food, and unity.

“A highlight of the year was the much-anticipated Moonlight Market in May, where we gathered to celebrate the winter solstice with mesmerising fire dancing performances, making it a truly magical evening.”

Pharoah said Women’s Day, a cherished public holiday, brought together the community for empowering talks and the exhilarating ice bath challenge, offering a refreshing and inspiring way to honour the strength and resilience of women.

“Visitors also danced the morning away during Secret Sunrise events, which celebrated Freedom Day and Heritage Day, fostering a joyful sense of unity and freedom through movement and music.”

Pharoah highlighted that one of the year’s most eagerly awaited events was their annual Diwali Moonlight Market, a radiant evening filled with colour, lights, and cultural performances that lit up the night, capturing the spirit of Diwali in all its glory.
