Redhill netball teams achieve unbeaten streak, crowned district champions in netball 13 championships
This triumph reflects the continuous upward trajectory of netball at Redhill School and the indomitable spirit of its young netball Redhillians.
The atmosphere was electric as the much-anticipated Netball 13 Championships unfolded at St Stithians on June 21.
Young athletes from various schools showcased their remarkable talent, determination, and unwavering commitment to the sport.
Among the fierce competition, Redhill School’s netball teams stood tall, emerging as the undefeated champions in all age groups, U14s, U15s, U16s, and the first team.
The tournament, featuring ten teams in each age category, delivered challenging and highly competitive matches that tested the mettle of every player.
Redhill’s netball teams fearlessly embraced the challenge, displaying exceptional skill and teamwork on the court.
According to Shelli Nurcombe-Thorne, the marketing and communications manager at the school, after a few nail-biting rounds, all four Redhill teams emerged victorious, earning the prestigious title of district champions.
“This remarkable achievement has left the Redhill community bursting with pride, recognising the immense effort, dedication, and countless hours of practice that went into this triumph.”
The Executive Head of Redhill School, Joseph Gerassi, expressed his pride and admiration for the netball teams, highlighting their exceptional results and the behind-the-scenes commitment, dedication, and pursuit of excellence that fuelled their success.
