Sandton police promote four officers
Four SAPS members ascend the ladder to higher ranks.
Four members of the Sandton Police Station were promoted to higher ranks by Brigadier Egen Moodley for their respective services on September 12.
Captain Nkhumeleli Mamelasigidi, a 24-year veteran at the detective unit; Lieutenant Colonel Jabulani Motsai, 16-year veteran in the human resources division; Lieutenant Colonel Shantel Allen, who has been with the management information centre (MIC) for 30 years, and Lieutenant Colonel Thabo Shilubane, a 25-year veteran at the firearm registration centre (FRC), were the selected officers.
SAPS provincial spokesperson Captain Jeff Phora said these members have been deemed capable of carrying the responsibility. “The abovementioned officers have been appointed for promotion to higher ranks [based on] their commitment and competency. They are expected to commence on October 1 in their new respective offices.”
