Love for music cultivated by Rivonia artist
The Rivonia-based artist is excited about her singles that are coming and hopes it will keep her supporters’ ears busy.
Born in Port Elizabeth, Kayla DaPatra was raised in Johannesburg and identifies herself as an old-soul hip-hop/bop music artist, songwriter, and DJ.
The Rivonia-based DJ, artist, influencer, emcee, model, and aspiring actress has garnered attention for her unique talents and dedication to succeed.
“I fell in love with music from a young age. I got exposed to a lot of different types of music when I was young.”
She added that, as a teenager, being exposed to music influenced her poetry and song writing.
“I then started as a recording artist, collaborating and co-writing in house music as a vocalist and hip-hop emcee with a few friends.”
DaPatra added that she has a vast talent for her artistry in music and can portray any kind of feel to her songs, which she uses as a tool, and the ability to work on any genre.
“Now, I have performed live on stage with the Underdogz SA show and Binxlar TV collaborations, and my presence on stage captivates the audience with my unique style and energy, giving a pleasing engagement, while I leave the crowd hyped and intrigued.”
She elaborated that she is now working on releasing her music and looking forward to making explosive collaborations as an artist.
“I am dedicated to accomplishing my goals of being an artist of note and a DJ of influence in this music industry, and soon I will be releasing my very first EP.”
