Join a fun day out with animal rescue organisations in Bryanston

Do you love birds? Is Bryanston your favourite place to go watch birds in their natural habitat? Then mark your calendars for October 6, when the Bryanston Market will host the third annual Rescue Expo, organised by The Rescue Collective.

This event will present an ensemble of more than 50 animal rescue, and rehab, organisations. The platform will also serve as a chance to take a peek behind the scenes, and witness the incredible dedication and compassion that drives these organisations. Attendees will also get to meet many of the rescues themselves.

The Rescue Expo aligns with World Animal week – a global movement to shed light on the world of non-profit organisations that work to improve the lives of animals. The movement is inclusive of all animals who co-exist with humans: from dogs and cats to donkeys, parrots, and hamsters; as well as garden birds, bats, and other wildlife that share earth’s urban forest.

Also, animal lovers, if you’re looking to expand your furry family, there will be pups up for adoption. The expo will also be ideal for pet owners who need their pets microchipped by the wonderful Animal Allies vet, who will be on hand, and chipping for only R120.

No event is complete without a delicious range of food for humans too. Burgers, pizza, spring rolls and samosas, ice cream, and even a chocolate fountain with strawberries for the kiddies.

Entrance is only R100 for 4 or R30 each, and kids under 10 are free. Consider bringing a food donation for a charity of your choice as a way to give back to the community, while enjoying a day filled with furry, feathered, and fluffy friends.
