Region E residents invited to engage with city services at Open Day in Sandton

The City of Johannesburg urges Region E residents to visit the Sandton Customer Service Centre on February 8, for a family-friendly Open Day where your municipal account queries can be addressed directly by City officials.

The City of Johannesburg is calling on all the Region E residents to attend the Open Day event on February 8 at Sandton Customer Service Centre.

The event is designed to tackle municipal account related queries and provide support to the community in a welcoming environment.

Region E encompasses numerous suburbs including Sandton, Bryanston, Bramley, Atholl, Glen Atholl, Illovo, Kew, Kelvin, Alexandra, Far East Bank, Gallo Manor, Killarney, Marlboro, and surrounding areas.

The city’s group finance’s director for communications and stakeholder engagement Kgamanyane Maphologela said, “The city brings a host of services to the community including assisting residents struggling to pay their accounts, help the elderly to register for pensioner rebates and Expanded Social Package (ESP).”

Residents can expect to find experts from various municipal services available to assist with billing, refunds, rates, valuations, legal matters, and more. City Power and Joburg Water representatives will also be on hand to assist.

“The City encourages residents of Region E to bring their queries on the day. At the Open Day, they will have an opportunity to have face-to-face engagements with all officials specialising in municipal account services such as billing, water, electricity, rates, refuse, sewer, valuations, and many more all under one roof.”

In addition to direct assistance, Maphologela said the Open Day would provide valuable information on the city’s services. “Together with some of the entities, we will set up stands whereby information relating to the city’s municipal services and programmes will be shared with residents.

“We appeal to residents to take full advantage of the Open Days to have their queries resolved.”
