Murder suspect apprehended at OR Tambo Airport
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the shooting of a local businessman in Sandton in December 2023.
A 42-year-old suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a local businessman.
The Morningside, Sandton-based businessman, was shot dead outside his home on December 7, 2023.
According to police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi, the suspect was apprehended by a specialised team of detectives from the SAPS Serious and Violent Crime Investigations Unit.

“The arrest took place at OR Tambo International Airport on February 23, just as the suspect was preparing to board a flight to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia,” said Nevhuhulwi.
“The suspect is expected to appear in court this week at the Alexandra Magistrates’ Court and investigations are continuing.”
