City Power announces Bryanston power interruption
A planned interruption on June 3 is set to leave parts of Bryanston without power for eight hours.
Residents in parts of Bryanston are advised to prepare for a planned power outage that has been rescheduled for June 3.
According to City Power, the power interruption is scheduled to take place between 09:00 and 17:00 and is necessary to carry out essential maintenance at the Bryanston substation.
The affected streets include:
- 50 Colleraine Drive,
- Jukskei Drive,
- Tugela Road,
- Vaal Street, and
- Links Street.
City Power says this maintenance forms part of its ongoing efforts to improve service reliability across Johannesburg.
“The interruption is necessary to do essential maintenance work on our network, which is part of our programme of constantly striving to provide a better service,” said the power utility in a statement.
Residents are reminded to treat all electrical outlets as live during the outage period, as supply can be restored at any point during the day without warning.
