Burst pipes leave parts of Morningside without water

Johannesburg Water has cut supply to parts of Morningside to fix two burst pipes, leaving several key roads dry. No estimated time of restoration has been given.

Residents and businesses in Morningside are currently without water following two burst pipes in the area. Johannesburg Water has confirmed that supply has been shut off to allow for urgent repairs.

The burst pipes were reported at the corner of Rivonia Road and School Road, as well as Kelvin Drive and Cosmos Crescent.

As a safety measure water supply has been isolated, affecting several major streets including Rivonia Road, School Road, Waggon Road, Woodlands Road, and Kelvin Drive.

Technicians are on-site and working to resolve the issue. However, Johannesburg Water has not yet provided an estimated time for when supply will be restored.
