The atmosphere was electric at Emperors Palace’s centre court on the evening of June 21 as an enthusiastic crowd gathered for a night of cultural celebration and musical brilliance.
Leading the charge in captivating the audience was Sandton resident and renowned DJ Mitesh Prahalath, famously known as DJ Desiblue.

The crowd’s excitement reached even higher heights when Raymond Ramnarine, the celebrated Trinidadian singer and songwriter known as ‘The Music Boss’, took the stage alongside his acclaimed band, Dil-E-Nadan, recognised worldwide as the number 1 Chutney Soca band.
DJ Desiblue’s role in bringing this incredible lineup to South Africa was pivotal; he orchestrated the event through his innovative events company, Fusion Life.
Their efforts culminated in the spectacular Chutney Fusion Festival 2025 at the Palace of Dreams.
The fusion of soca and chutney music, originating from Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, and Suriname, created an infectious energy that resonated throughout the venue.
As Ramnarine and Dil-E-Nadan performed their vibrant repertoire, the audience was swept into a celebration of cultural diversity and musical innovation.
